Our Veterinarian and Owner

Dr. Shannon Cunningham DVM

As a proud graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, Dr. Cunningham is a dedicated veterinarian and a loving mother of two human kids, Peyton and Addison. In addition to her two-legged family members, she shares her home with a diverse and adored group of furry and scaly companions, including two dogs, Elli and Gideon, two cats, Toffee and Mitis, and a friendly bearded dragon named Meatball.

Outside of her thriving career as the owner and lead veterinarian at Chittenden Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Cunningham is a passionate softball player and a devoted coach for her daughter. She finds joy in home design and is a puzzle enthusiast, as you might notice from the puzzles adorning our clinic.

​Driven by her love for yard work, she actively maintains our clinic's surroundings, reflecting her dedication to the community she serves. Dr. Cunningham is excited to spend her career serving the Chittenden community through compassionate veterinary care and unwavering commitment.

Meet Natalie,
Our dedicated Veterinary Practice Manager! Natalie is a passionate animal lover who holds a 2020 degree in Animal Sciences from Ohio State, complemented by a minor in Business. While she aspires to become a veterinarian in the future, she's currently on the path to achieving her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credentials.

In her free time, you can often find Natalie engrossed in a good book, creating art, or hitting the bowling alley for some fun. Her love for animals extends beyond her professional life, as she shares her home with a diverse and loving family of pets. She currently cares for two dogs - Io and Suki, five cats -Icarus, Bubba, Dart, Tali, and Flower, a Mississippi Map Turtle - Taco, and a Betta fish - Beatrix.

Natalie's commitment to our practice runs deep, having been a valued member of our team for five years. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and love for animals make her an integral part of our veterinary care family.

Meet Chelsea,
Our dedicated Veterinary Office Manager! As a devoted mother of two and the loving caregiver to an extended furry and prickly family, Chelsea knows how to manage a full house. Her diverse fur-family, includes four dogs - River, Cora, Artemis, and Nellie - and five cats - Sophie, Ezra, Athena, Esper, and Carmen. She even has a charming hedgehog named Cactus Blossom.

Her passion for learning and a love for all things fantastical, particularly the wizarding world of Harry Potter, keeps her busy both in and out of the office. In her downtime, you'll find her immersed in books and movies, especially those of the fantasy genre.

With six years of experience at our practice, Chelsea's journey began as a receptionist, and she has since become an indispensable pillar of our team, managing the daily operations with unwavering dedication.

​a dedicated veterinary technician with a passion for animals and the great outdoors.

​Olivia earned her degree from Bradford Veterinary Technician School and is well on her way to becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. With a career spanning 7 years, she began her journey at Chittenden and has recently returned again after exploring the country. 

​At home, Olivia shares her life with her beloved dog, Caligo, and her two cherished feline companions, Aloe and Ebony. Join Olivia on her journey as she combines her passion for veterinary care with her zest for adventure.

Meet Tessah,
an aspiring veterinary technician with a love for aquatic life and furry friends alike.

​Tessah is not your typical animal lover; they're a scuba-certified adventurer with dreams of working with marine life. When they're not pursuing their passion for animal care, you can find them immersed in the world of art or photographing the animal kingdom.

​Tessah's life is also brightened by the presence of their beloved pup, Bucky, and their rambunctious bird, Mumble.​

Meet Tess,
​​an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician with a degree from CSCC earned in 2011.

Tess shares her life with her two beloved dogs, Lieutenant Dan, a German Shepherd, and McGraw, a Shepherd Husky mix. Additionally, she is a proud owner of three feline companions named Midori, Bumble, and Soot.

​When Tess isn't at work, she indulges in her passion for playing softball, attending country concerts, and finds joy in snuggling up with her dogs while immersing herself in a good book.

Currently, she's on her academic journey at OSU, working towards a degree in zoology.

Her love for animals extends to her personal life, where she shares her home with a red-eared slider.

​Coinne's commitment to the well-being of animals shines through in her work and personal life.

Currently studying at Ohio State University, she is pursuing a degree in biology and a minor in studio art.

When she's not in the classroom, Michaela can be found marching to the beat of her own drum as a bass drum player in the OSU Marching Band.

​Back at home, Michaela shares her life with two dogs and a beloved beta fish.

With an Animal Sciences degree from OSU, she aspires to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Despite not having any pets of her own, Kyal's passion for animals shines through in her work.

​ When she's not caring for our furry friends, you'll likely find her savoring her favorite foods - chocolate and pizza.

Currently at OSU for Animal Sciences, she is working hard towards her Vet Tech degree.

Kayla's bright personality combined with her dedication to animals brings a joyful and welcoming atmosphere to the clinic.

In her spare time, she can be found reading, crocheting, or volunteering at local animal shelters. She shares her life with her dog Trixie, and her cat Bear.

Veterinary Receptionists

​A newly minted veterinary receptionist who's embarked on an exciting journey in the world of animal care. Despite her fresh start in veterinary medicine, Shannon's enthusiasm and dedication shines through. She's an avid reader, having devoured every piece of literature authored by Stephen King, while also exploring the realms of fantasy and sci-fi.

Shannon's life has been an adventure, as she's been a navy wife for over 20 years, calling various places from Washington to Japan home. Her household is shared with her two wonderful children, as well as Stormy the cat and Trevor Shellington I, an Eastern painted turtle.
